Note: Refers to the Japanese period begining with the Onin War (1467-1477) and ending with the capture of of Kyoto in 1568, although some scholars date the period from the early 1490s. The period saw the development of castle towns, which served as commercial and political centers, and the popularity of tea ceremonies, haiku, and classical Chinese ink painting and pottery.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指始於應仁之亂(西元1467年至1477年),終於西元1568年京都淪陷的日本時代,但有些學者主張西元1490年代初期,才是戰國時期的濫觴。當時,用作商業與政治中心的城下町開始發展,茶道、俳句、傳統中國水墨畫與陶器均相當盛行。  
Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de Japanse periode die begint bij de Onin oorlog (1467-1477) en eindigt met de inname van Kyoto in 1568. Sommige onderzoekers echter, laten de periode in de vroege jaren negentig van de 15de eeuw beginnen. In deze periode kwamen vestingsteden tot ontwikkeling die als commerciële en politieke centra fungeerden, en werden theeceremonies, de haiku, klassieke Chinese inkttekeningen en het pottenbakken populair. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere al período japonés comenzado con la guerra de Onin (1467-1477) y que termina con la captura de Kyoto en 1568. El período consideró el desarrollo de las ciudades, que sirvieron como centros comerciales y políticos, y el renombre de las ceremonias del té, pinturas y cerámicas chinas clásicas.
