| Dutch ..... Wordt gebruikt voor meestal losstaande of afzonderlijke gebouwen of andere structuren die hoog zijn in verhouding tot hun breedte. Gebruik 'torens (delen van gebouwen)' voor delen van gebouwen met muren die verticaal een aanzienlijk stuk boven de rest uitrijzen. Gebruik 'torengebouwen' voor moderne hoogbouw met een torenachtige hoofdmassa die oprijst vanaf een grotere lage basis. |
| German ..... Bezieht sich üblicherweise auf ein freistehendes oder isoliertes Gebäude oder einen anderen Bau, dessen Höhe ein Vielfaches seiner Querabmessung beträgt. Für ein Gebäudeteil, das sich mit senkrechten Proportionen deutlich über das Bauwerk erhebt, ist „Turm (Gebäudeteil)“ zu verwenden. Für moderne Hochhäuser mit turmähnlicher Hauptabmessung, die von einer niedrigen größeren Grundfläche ansteigen, ist „Turmhaus“ zu verwenden. |
| Spanish ..... Úsese para designar un edificio, generalmente apartado o aislado, u otra estructura alta en proporción a sus dimensiones laterales. Para partes de edificios cuyos muros se elevan en vertical muy considerablemente por encima del resto, use "torre (división de edificios)". Para edificios modernos de gran altura con una mole principal en forma de torre que se eleva desde un base inferior más grande, use "torre de pisos". |
