Kaprow saved this set of instructions for using an anti-itch medication in his project file for the activity Loss (Jan 1973). Viewed through the lens of the avant-garde, the instruction sheet looks like a readymade score, and this is far from incidental in a practice like Kaprow’s, which tends to model his artistic forms on vernacular references.
