Pátio São Pedro (courtyard; Manuel Ferreira Jácome; construction: ca. 1781-1784; Recife (Pernambuco, Brasil, South America, World, Top of the...;)

Note: Where a residential complex had previously stood, the Brotherhood of Saint Peter purchased the land in 1719 and began construction of the Church of Saint Peter of the Clergy, completing it between 1781 and 1784. The Baroque-style project by Manuel Ferreira Jácome envisioned an architectural complex in which the church is surrounded by some of the old houses located in front of the temple and by a new set of buildings, forming a courtyard.

Onde antes se localizava um conjunto residencial, a Irmandade de São Pedro comprou as terras em 1719 e iniciou a construção da Igreja de São Pedro dos Clérigos, concluída entre 1781 e 1784. O projeto, em estilo barroco, de autoria de Manuel Ferreira Jácome, previu um complexo arquitetônico em que a igreja é cercada por algumas das antigas casas situadas à frente do templo e por um novo casario, configurando um pátio.
