Note: Taken as part of Edward S. Curtis's forty volume work, "The North American Indian," comprised of photos of Native North Americans and First Nations individuals from 1907 to 1930. This photo is from volume 19, dedicated to cataloging Wichita, Southern Cheyenne, Oto, and Comanche communities. This photo depicts a cradleboard, decorated with geometric patterns constructed by beadwork. The title intimates it is built by a Cheyenne maker.
