Note: John Cage's conceptual musical composition was performed by Jeffrey Kresky at William Paterson College in Wayne, New Jersey in April 1985. The piece, which calls for 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence, was on this occasion performed theatrically with a page-turner for the score, which was represented by blank pages used as a prop. Kresky mimed a typical piano recital without playing any notes.
