Note: Urban park in Manhattan, between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side.It is one of the first American parks to incorporate landscape architecture techniques into its design. On the grounds are a zoo, an ice-skating rink, lakes, an open-air theatre, a band shell, many athletic playing fields and children’s playgrounds, several fountains, and hundreds of small monuments and plaques scattered throughout.
