Turin-Milan Hours (disassembled work; various artists and patrons; from 1380/1390 through mid-15t...)

Note: Partially destroyed illuminated manuscript, portions of which exist in various locations throughout the world. Portions of the book were begun ca. 1380/1390; over the next 60 years several artists and patrons contributed to the work. The first leafs were commissioned by high-ranking member of the French court (identity not known) with French artists. Before 1413 it was in the possession of Jean, Duc de Berry; by 1420 it was with the Count of Holland John of Bavaria, who commissioned Flemish artists.
