Note: Statue of a draped male figure wearing a helmet, who stands atop an inscribed base: Sacred to the venerable god Cobannus, Lucius Maccius Aeternus, duumvir [dedicated this] in accordance with a vow. The figure, who represents the local deity Cobannus, wears a contemporary Roman helmet. He is dressed in a long cloak fastened with a round brooch. Under the cloak he wears a long-sleeved tunic with fringed lower edge and close-fitting, footed leggings, over which he wears T-strap sandals. He once held a standing spear in his upraised right hand, and steadied a shield with his lowered left hand. | |
