| Note: On the neck: A: quadriga to right. Bearded charioteer with long, sleeveless chiton holding reins in both hands; a goat to his right. Nonsense inscriptions in the field. B: Departure of a warrior accompanied by a dog, flanked by an old man and a woman. Nonsense inscriptions in the field. On the body: A: Aeneas rescuing his father Anchises. Before him, his son, Askanios; behind Aeneas is Aphrodite. In the field is a nonsense inscription, as well as APHRODITE KALE, ANXISI (retrograde), AINEA : KALOS. Side B: Dionysos, holding a kantharos, flanked by two satyrs, one of whom plays the double flutes. | |
