| Note: In the tondo of this fully restored kylix is represented a city siege: a freestanding city wall topped by three merlons. On the left above a soldier wears a crested helmet with an ear aperature indicated; he is holding a spear and a round shield. Two warriors stand before the wall. The one on the left wears a crested Corinthian helmet and holds a spear and round shield. The one on the right wears a crested helmet with ear aperatures, holds a round shield on his left arm, and is about to hurl a rock held in his right hand. Parts of the spear and shield remain of a fourth warrior on the wall above at the right. | |
