Plaque in the Shape of a Bull (plaque (flat object); Unknown Greek (Tarantine) (Greek (Tarantine) Artist); second half of 4th century BCE...; J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Villa (Malibu, Los Angeles...; 71.AD.220)

Note: A terracotta plaque in the shape of a bull with gilding on the front. The bull has little depth and stands on a long, thin base. It lowers its head and lifts its front left leg. The tail forms a loop and a hole is pierced in the side, near the chest. Much of the gilding is now missing. The back is undecorated and unarticulated.
