Great Imāmbāṛā (imambara; Asaf-ud-Daula (Indian vassal, reigned 1775-1797); 1784; Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, Bhārat, Asia, World, Top of the T...;)

Note: Containing one of the largest vaulted halls in the world, the great Imabara was built by Asaf-ud-Daula in 1874 with a technique known as kara dena in which bricks are broken, interwoven, and then covered with concrete. it was approached by an exstravagant gate, now in ruins.
