| Note: Containing one of the largest vaulted halls in the world, the great Imabara was built by Asaf-ud-Daula in 1874 with a technique known as kara dena in which bricks are broken, interwoven, and then covered with concrete. it was approached by an exstravagant gate, now in ruins. | |
