Note: The anonymous print shows the departure of representatives of each of the three orders to the 1789 meeting of the Estates General at Versailles; A deputy of the Third Estate drives a whimsical elegant cabriolet that is drawn by two horses and in which two members of the clergy and nobility are seated. A figure of Fame flies above the cabriolet, blowing two trumpets; Forms part of: Prints of the French Revolution, 1774-ca. 1840 (Special Collections, accn. no. P980009*). Publication: [ca. 1789].
