Note: Giuseppe Pannini designed the funeral decorations on behalf of his father-in-law, Ferdinando Fuga, who was architect of the Spanish nation in Rome, but who was then working in Naples for Carlo III; Impressions of the etching were issued with: Relacion de las exequias que a la magestad del rey catolico d. Fernando VI. se hicieron en la real yglesia de Santiago delos Españoles de Roma siendo ministro encargado de los reales negocios di S. M. el em̃o y rm̃o señor fr. d. Joachin Portocarrero, cardenal obispo sabinense. En Roma : En la imprenta de los hermanos Joachin, y Juan Josè Salvioni, MDCCLX [1760]; Printmaker from Mantua, active in Rome; The print depicts the decorations on the facade of the Church of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli in Rome, designed by Giuseppe Pannini for the obsequies "in absentia" of the late king of Spain, Ferdinando VI, held by the Spanish nation; Ink inscription on verso: In Eta avanzata il 1765 mori in Roma il Sig.re Ca.vr Paninj architetto / e Pitore e il suo figlio li sucedette nelli impiegi dellas cameras re; Numbered in brown ink on recto and verso: 102; binding holes in the left margin; trimmed along upper horizontal crease; Library has another impression bound in: Relacion de las exequias que a la magestad del rey catolico d.
