Note: Announced in the Journal de la cour et de la ville on May 4, 1792; Key, numbered 1 to 4, in the lower margin; The satirical print is related to the French minister of war Narbonne-Lara's military campaign at the gorges of Porrentruy, Jura, Switzerland; Narbonne-Lara, surnamed Linotte (Linette) and represented with the head of a bird, grabs the gorge of a sow (porc-truie), aided by Madame de Staël. In the background, Charles-Michel Villette announces the news to the revolutionary government; Forms part of: Prints of the French Revolution, 1774-ca. 1840 (Special Collections, accn. no. P980009*).
