Boilly ; I. lith. de Delpech), captioned (Les Grimaces) and dated (1823, plate 4); French painter, printmaker and draftsman; The hand colored chalk lithographs form part of a suite of prints (1823-1828) in which Boilly explored distorted and exaggerated physiognomic expressions.
