Felice Delino Architetto Inuentò, et delineò // Vincenzo Mariotti Romano Incise; Etcher active in Rome, Venice, and Padua; The print depicts the festivities held in 1687 in Piazza di Spagna, Rome, and at the French church, Trinità dei Monti, in celebration of the convalescence of Louis XIV; The square is transformed into an outdoor theatre with covered platforms and orchestras. The temporary decoration of the Trinità, which was designed by Simone Felice Delino, features candelabra and a Grand Girandola, a fireworks finale; Library has another impression of the etching in the Italian theater collection: accn. no. P980004** (FF. 15); Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no. P910002**).
