Luca; Bacchus is shown leaping from his chariot to rescue Ariadne, who had been abandoned on the island of Naxos by Theseus; Dedicated to the painter and writer Fabio della Corgna from Perugia, the etching reproduces in reverse the painting executed by Titian (National Gallery, London); Forms part of the Leo Steinberg collection of prints (Special Collections accn. no. 2000.PR.16); Trimmed within plate mark and in lower margin with loss of inscription: [Scriptorium licentia].
