Note: "According to Firmin-Didot, the plate, though executed in 1743, was not published until July 1744; it was engraved after a painting started in 1707 (head) and finished in 1742."--BM, 1845,0906.94; In this print after a painting by Hyacinthe Rigaud, Elisabeth de Gouy, wife of the artist, is portrayed half-length, turned to the right and sitting behind an ornamented trompe l'œil stone window.
