Note: Inscription below the central compartment: ILL.MO AC R.MO DÑO D IOANNI GARZIAE S.R.E. / CARDINALI MILLINO S.MI DNI NR̃I PAPAE VICARIO / VIGILANTISSIMO ET DÑO SVO COLENDISSIMO; The printmaker Giacomo Lauro or Lauri, who was active in Rome between 1584 and 1637, engraved views and monuments of Rome; The print depicts the solemn acts performed by Maffeo Barberini on the occasion of his election as Pope Urban VIII on August 6, 1623; Eleven sections in trompe-l'oeil relief and in the shapes of medallions and panels illustrate the coronation, the cavalcade to San Giovanni in Laterano, and other ceremonies described in the captions; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no. P910002**).
