P910002**); Impressions of the etching were issued with Alessandro della Stufa's description of the obsequies: Esequie della maesta cesarea dell'imperador Mattia ... (In Firenze : Nella stamperia del Cecconcelli, 1619); The print depicts the memorial service in honor of Holy Roman emperor Matthias, celebrated by Cosimo II in the Church of San Lorenzo, Florence, on April 15, 1619; The nave of San Lorenzo is adorned with funerary draperies and skeletons. A preacher standing at the pulpit recites the office. Beyond the altar, the cenotaph designed by Giulio Parigi is displayed before a monumental candle pyramid ensigned with a double-headed eagle.
