Note: Plate 1 is title plate. Most plates in the 1st sequence consist of perspective views of generalized buildings, somewhat ruined; a few depict specific buildings, e.g. 23, Castel Sant'Angelo; 24, Colosseum. 19 plates of the 1st sequence are signed in the plate: MI.LV. Except for the last 2 leaves, plates in the 2nd sequence depict remains of actual buildings that are named in the plate, as, Palativm M. Agrippa [1], Palativm Clavdii imperatoris [2]. Four leaves of the 2nd sequence have 2 plates each, and the last leaf has 3 plates that depict mechanical devices. Eight of the plates depict half-buildings that have been truncated vertically. The penultimate plate depicts a street lined with buildings in perspective and has no identifying legend; it would seem to belong to the first sequence of plates if it were not unnumbered; In Library's copy plate 26 of the first, numbered sequence is bound after plate [15] of the 2nd, unnumbered sequence; Library's c. 2 consists of 22 of the 25 plates of the 2nd sequence, cut out and affixed to 10 leaves, in a modern binding. The missing plates are: Templum idor. egito, and the unlabelled penultimate plate; Binding, c. 1: limp vellum. Title written on spine in brown ink: Prespectiva, y Ant[rest of word unclear] di Roma. Copy 2: decorated paper over pasteboard, half vellum (23 x 40 cm.); Plate 23 in Library's c. 1 inscribed below image: castell sanct angell de roma. Publication: [Rome, Italy: s.n., 155-].
