Note: The story of the festival involved a battle over the hand of Queen Lucinda between Indamoro, King of Narsinga, and Gradamento, King of Melinda. Agniolo Ricci was the choreographer of the ballet, while Giulio Parigi designed the amphitheater, the floats and the costumes; The print depicts the triumphal procession of the floats of Asia and Africa at the tournament Guerra d'amore performed in Florence on February 12, 1616 [1615 in "stile fiorentino"] in honor of Granduchessa Maria Maddalena of Austria; Figures of the Commedia dell'Arte, a man on stilts and musicians in a carriage are shown in the foreground; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no.
