Note: Another issue of the same engraving and caption without the final statement of the addition of two emblems, has "A. Boon delt." instead of "P. van Dyk, Rotterdam" and "F. Sansom sculpt.", while the caption concludes with the statement: onder de directie van den Wel Edelen Gestrengen Hr. Johan Philip de Monte Raad in de Vroedschap dier Stad enz. en den Hr. Matthius Theodorus Peypers. Beide directeuren van deze Societeit. N. Cornel excudit. Cf. Landwehr, and Atlas van Stolk 4969; March 8, 1788 marked the 40th birthday of William V, Stadholder of the United Provinces of the Netherlands; Library's copy lacks the two to-be-pasted emblems.

Rikjsmuseum translation for their impression of the same print RP-P-OB-77569: Illumination of the facade of the building of the Sincere Vaderlandsche Westnieuwland Society at Rotterdam, on the occasion of the fortieth birthday of Prince William V on 8 March 1788 and the restoration of the old constitution. The facade decorated with lights and eighteen chassinetten with allegorical scenes, two of which later on August 7 are placed on separate, folding leaves.
