Moser, Werner Max (Swiss architect, interior designer, furniture designer, and city planner, 1896-1970)
|
Note: Born 16 July 1896; died 19 August 1970. Werner Max Moser assisted with the building project for the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl (Zurich, Switzerland) from 1928 to 1932. Werner worked on the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl site plan with Rudolf Steiger, Hans Schmidt and Paul Artaria. He also designed the Typ A Reihenhauswohnung mit Dachterrasse (Type A row house with roof terrace) with Carl Hubacher, Rudolf Steiger and Emil Roth from 1928 to 1929. He probably designed the Typ N Etagenwohnungen/Künstlerateliers (Type N apartment house and studios) as well as the Typ P1 Aussengangwohnungen, Heizer-Wohnung, Läden, Garagen, Kindergarten (multipurpose building with apartments, a heating system, stores, garages and a playground) and Typ P32 Aussengangwohnungen, Servicegarage, Motorradboxen, Garagen (Type P32 multipurpose building with apartments, garages and a service station). In 1929 Moser helped to establish the Genossenschaft Neubühl which in 1930 contracted the collective formed by Moser himself, Paul Artaria, Max Ernst Haefeli, Carl Hubacher, Emil Roth, Hans Schmidt, and Rudolf Steiger to build the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl. In 1931 Moser, Siegfried Giedion, Max Ernst Haefeli, Carl Hubacher, Emil Roth and Rudolf Steiger were commissioned by the Schweizerischen Werkbund to decorate model houses and apartments (Wohnaustellung) at the Werkbundsiedlung Neubühl. The same year Moser designed a series of couches, chairs and tables for the Wohnbedarf AG. Moser's furniture decorated the interior of the "Typ N" model apartment and "Typ O" model house.
