Hegylos of Laconia (Greek sculptor, active 6th century BCE)

Note: Sculptor from Sparta. Hegylos and his son Theokles made the statues of Herakles and the Hesperides seen by Pausanias in the Temple of Hera at Olympia. The two were supposedly student of Skyllis and Dipoinos, the sons of students of the legendary Daidalos. |
