Hutton, Peter (American filmmaker, 1944-2016)
|
Note: Hutton made over twenty experimental films, focussing on the subjects of landscape and cities. He taught at Bard College. He studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, and received both a BFA and MFA there. While studying he also worked as a merchant marine. He later taught at Hampshire College, Harvard University, SUNY Purchase, and was at Bard from 1984 until his death. The Museum of Modern Art in New York held a retrospective of his work in 2008. |
