Braquehais, Bruno (French daguerreotypist, 1823-1875)
|
Note: Born 18 January 1823; died 13 February 1875. In 1850, Braquehais began offering coloured daguerreotypes at his Paris studio. In 1854, he began producing paper photographs. In 1856, Braquehais began working with his father-in-law, A. Gouin, at his Paris studio. Braquehais was the successor to the studio in 1863. Braquehais wife, Laure Mathilde Gouin, also produced stereoscopic daguerreotypes and coloured prints on waxed cloth. In 1871, Braquehais produced photographs of the Paris Commune. |
