Lincoln, Fay Sturtevant (American photographer, 1894-1975)
|
Note: Born 16 February; died 31 December 1975. In 1929, Lincoln started the firm Nyholm and Lincoln in New York City, New York, with a photographer named Peter A. Nyholm. Ca. 1934, Lincoln left to establish his own studio, also in New York City. In 1935, Lincoln was commissioned by Colonial Williamsburg, Inc., to record the results of the restorations begun in 1928 on the 18th century Virginia capitol. In 1938, he photographed historical pre-Civil War architecture in North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. |
