Erben, Li (Czech photographer, born 1939)
|
Note: Erben began her career as a photographer in Munich recording street life, and then became a portrait photographer, creating images of notable individuals such as Liv Ullmann, Roman Polanski, and Arthur Rubenstein. She married stage director Vicor Vicas and lived in Paris. During this time, she too became a stage director specializing in international co-productions. Taking advantage of the travel, she began to create pictoral essays on China. Her images of Daoist monks, cyclists, and processions in Tiananmen square are among her best known. |
