|
Note: Created a series of works based on solitary figures which he called "Passersby," a theme he worked with from the 1930s to the 1970s. Mounted personal exhibitions in Prague in 1944, 1945, 1947, and 1965. He is identified with the Umělecká beseda; a group interested in portraying modern urban life, as well as being among the first Czech artists to embrace surrealism. |
