Armengol, Rafael (Spanish painter and printmaker, born 1940)
|
Note: He was a student with Manuel Boix and Artur Heras at the School of Fine Art in Valencia in 1961. They formed a group and showed for the first time at Montcada in 1962. In 1964 they realized a tryptic together that served as a point of departure for their version of neo-realism. They showed in a number of Spanish cities in 1967, the year the group separated. Armengol moved to Barcelona, and participated in 1971 in the Paris Biennale. His work may be found in the museums of Valencia and Seville. |
