Note: The brother of architect Alberto Tristani, Giovanni Tristano was the architect of the Jesuit Order in 1565, when Cardinal Alessandro Farnese commissioned Vignola as the architect for Il Gesù in Rome. Tristano remained in charge of the actual building operations. |
