Note: A type of rectangular gem cut in which the corners are cut off. Mainly used for emeralds, but can also be used for other gemstones and diamonds. In comparison to a baguette cut, the emerald cut has more horizontally broken facets and also facets in the corners.

| Dutch ..... Rechthoekige slijpvorm waarvan de hoeken afgesneden zijn. Wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor smaragden, maar kan ook bij andere edelstenen en diamanten toegepast worden. In vergelijking met het baguetteslijpsel heeft het emeraldslijspel meer horizontaal gebroken facetten en ook facetten in de hoeken. |
