Note: Three-wheeled vehicles, particularly of light open framework construction, usually powered by the rider via pedals and cranks, or occasionally by a motor; for similar lightweight manually powered vehicles, but without comfort- or speed-enhancing features, constructed prior to about 1870, prefer "velocipedes." Voertuigen op drie wielen, meestal met een lichte raamwerkconstructie, die ofwel door de berijder zelf of met een klein motortje worden aangedreven en die werden gebouwd na 1869; gebruik 'vélocipèdes' voor soortgelijke lichte, met de hand aangedreven voertuigen zonder comfort- of snelheidsverhogende kenmerken, die werden gebouwd tot ongeveer 1870. Gebruik 'driewielers (auto's)' of 'autoscooters' voor auto's met drie wielen. |
