Dutch ..... Harnasdelen die in de 15e en 16e eeuw werden gebruikt in steekspelen, bestaande uit grote metalen platen, ofwel in de vorm van een schild of in de vorm van het dijbeen; ze hingen aan beide kanten van het zadel of waren vastgeriemd aan de beide dijbenen van de strijder, ter bescherming van de dijbenen en knieën. 
Spanish ..... Pieza de armadura utilizada en las justas durante los siglos XV y XVI. Consistía en grandes placas de metal, que podían tener tanto la forma de escudo como con la forma de los muslos, y que asimismo podían o colgar de un lado de la silla de metal o estar atadas a cada uno de los muslos de los combatientes, para protegerlos junto con las rodillas.
