Note: Components of some belts, especially those that formed a part of early medieval dress: a counter plate was placed opposite the buckle. These were found on belts that would have included a buckle, and sometimes a rectangular back plate placed in the middle of the belt at the back for decoration. |

Dutch ..... Onderdelen van (vroeg) middeleeuwse riemen: platen, meestal uitgewerkt, die aan het uiteinde van de riem, tegenover de gesp, geplaatst werden. Riemen bestonden doorgaans uit een gesp, een tegenplaat en een rugplaat. |
