Note: Thin, not very durable vegetable-tanned leather made from the grain split of a skin or hide, usually sheepskin but sometimes goatskin or cowhide; it is produced in a variety of colors and embossed grain patterns as well as undyed and ungrained. | Dutch ..... Dun, niet erg duurzaam plantaardig gelooid leer van de nerfsplit van een vel of huid, meestal van schapenleer, maar soms ook van geiten- of koeienleer. Het wordt in verschillende kleuren en gebosseleerde korrelpatronen geproduceerd, maar ook kleur- en nerfloos. Meestal gebruikt voor de voering van hoeden en goedkope boekbanden. |
| Spanish ..... Cuero delgado no muy durable curtido con vegetales fabricado con el grano dividido de una piel o cuero, habitualmente de carnero pero a veces de caprino o vacuno. Se produce en diferentes colores y con diferentes diseños de grano grabados, así como sin teñir y sin grano. Usos típicos son forros de sombreros y encuadernación de bajo precio. |
