Gepantserde mouwloze jacks die werden gebruikt door de infanterie vanaf halverwege de 14e eeuw tot begin 17e eeuw; ze bestaan uit kleine rechthoekige metalen plaatjes die elkaar in de vorm van verticale stroken overlappen, in parallelle rijen aangebracht op een ondergrond van stof of huid. Dit geheel werd op een gewatteerd jack genaaid waardoor de kledingstukken hun uiteindelijke vorm kregen. |
