Het universum van fysieke objecten wordt vaak onderverdeeld in realia, de natuurlijk voorkomende objecten en verschijnselen, en 'artefacten', door de mens gecreëerde objecten en verschijnselen. In specifieke zin verwijst de term realia binnen classificatiesystemen voor bibliotheken naar andere fysieke voorwerpen dan de boeken, tijdschriften of muziekregistraties die doorgaans in een bibliotheek zijn gecatalogiseerd. Eveneens in specifieke zin verwijst de term naar objecten uit de natuur, in huis of in andere situaties uit het dagelijks leven die voor klassikaal onderwijs worden gebruikt. |
