Note: Thin, white patch, sheet, or layered of clouds without shading. They are composed of very small elements in the form of more or less regularly arranged grains or ripples. In general cirrocumulus represents a degraded state of cirrus and cirrostratus both of which may change into it and is an uncommon cloud. There will be a connection with cirrus or cirrostratus and will show some characteristics of ice crystal clouds.

| Dutch ..... Dunne en witte plukkerige, vlakke of gelaagde wolken zonder donkere plekken. Deze wolken bestaat uit zeer kleine elementen, die de vorm aannemen van min of meer regelmatig geordende vlokken of golven. Cirrocumulus komt niet vaak voor, en is over het algemeen een gedegradeerde vorm van cirrus of cirrostratus. Doorgaans zal er dan ook een verband zijn met cirrus of cirrostratus, en zal cirrocumulus enige kenmerken van ijskristalwolken vertonen. |
