|
Note: Refers to a Neolithic style and culture that appeared in northern and central Europe after 3,000 BCE. It is named for a charactistic decorative technique where twisted cord was impressed on the surface of pottery, particularly drinking cups, usually in parallel rows. It is also characterized by individual burials of adult males accompanied by stone battle axes under round mounds.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een neolithische stijl en cultuur die in Noord- en Centraal-Europa verscheen na 3000 v. Chr. De stijl is genoemd naar een typische decoratieve techniek waarbij gedraaid koord wordt aangebracht op het oppervlak van aardewerk, vooral drinkbekers, gewoonlijk in evenwijdige banen. De stijl kenmerkt zich ook door individuele begrafenissen van volwassen mannen vergezeld van stenen strijdbijlen onder ronde aardhopen. |
