Note: Refers to the Hittite period from about 1000 to 700 BCE when independent Hittite city-states flourished in south-east Anatolia and north Syria. The art of the period is characterized by a continuity of traditions of the Hittite Empire seen particularly in the use of the Hittite hieroglyphic script for monumental stone inscriptions. |

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de Hettitische periode van circa 1000 tot 700 v. Chr., toen onafhankelijke Hettitische staten floreerden in het zuidoosten van Anatolië en het noorden van Syrië. De kunst uit deze periode kenmerkt zich door een voortzetting van de tradities van het Hettitische keizerrijk, dat met name merkbaar is in het gebruik van het Hettitische hiërogliefschrift voor monumentale inscripties in stenen. |
Spanish ..... Se refiere al período Hitita desde aproximadamente el 1000 al 700 a.C. cuando las ciudades estado Hititas independientes florecieron en el sudeste de Anatolia y Siria del norte. El arte del período se caracteriza por una continuidad de tradiciones del Imperio Hitita vistas particularmente en el uso de escritura jeroglífica hitita para inscripciones de piedra monumentales. |
