Note: The term for a class of white alloys used by jewelers as substitutes for platinum; it is easily manipulated into intricate shapes. The name does not convey the relative value of the different grades, which vary a great deal. Typical white gold alloys consist of 20 to 50% nickel with the rest being gold; zinc, silver, copper, platinum, and palladium may also be used.

| Dutch ..... De term voor een categorie witte legeringen die door juweliers als vervanging van platina wordt gebruikt. Is eenvoudig te bewerken tot complexe vormen. De naam geeft niet aan in welke verhoudingen de verschillende elementen voorkomen; deze verhoudingen variëren dan ook sterk. Typische witgoudlegeringen bestaan uit 20 tot 50% nikkel en voor de rest uit goud. Ook kunnen zink, zilver, koper, platina en palladium worden gebruikt. |
| Spanish ..... Término para una clase de aleaciones blancas utilizadas por los joyeros como sustituto del platino. Es fácilmente manipulada para conferirle formas complejas. El nombre no se adapta al valor relativo de los diferentes grados, que varían muchísimo. El oro blanco típico consiste en 20 a 50% de níquel con el resto compuesto de oro; También pueden utilizarse zinc, plata, cobre, platino y paladio.
