| Dutch ..... Italiaanse wandkasten die oorspronkelijk bestonden uit cassoni met een deur in plaats van een deksel maar die zich later (16e eeuw) tot een tweedelig meubel ontwikkelden dat op de Engelse perskast lijkt. Ze hebben meestal veel architectonische decoratie, inclusief pilaren met een monumentale deklijst. Ze worden vaak voor sacristieën gebruikt. |
| German ..... Italienischer Schrank, der ursprünglich ein Cassone mit Türen anstelle eines Deckels war, aber sich vom 16. Jahrhundert an hin zu einem zweigeschossigen Möbelstück ähnlich einem englischen press cupboard entwickelt hatte. Im Allgemeinen besitzt er massive architektonische Dekorelemente, einschließlich Pilastern, die ein monumentales Fries stützen, häufig für Sakristeien hergestellt. |

Originalmente tableros o estructuras abiertas de estantes sobre los que tazas, especialmente de plata, podría colocarse para almacenamiento o exhibición, a menudo usadas de forma intercambiable con buffet y tocadores en la Edad Media. Surgidos en el siglo XV, fueron agregadas las puertas. Hoy término genérico para todos los receptáculos semejantes encerrados por puertas, algunas veces empotrados. |
