Note: Sculpture construction technique referred to as wood-core dry lacquer where layers of lacquer soaked cloth are applied over a solid wooden mold. This technique was popular during the last half of the Nara (710-749) period, replacing the hollow dry-lacquer technique, "dakkatsu kanshitsu." As the technique developed, more details were added to the wood form and the cloth layers became thinner.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 木心乾漆雕刻塑形技術。將一層層吸滿漆料的布料,敷蓋於一實心木製鑄模上。此技術盛行於奈良時代(西元710年至749年)後半,取代了稱為「脫活乾漆」的中空乾漆技術。隨著技術的發展,更多細節加諸於木頭塑形上,布料的層疊也愈見輕薄。 
Dutch ..... Beeldhouwtechniek die 'droge houtkern-lakwerk' wordt genoemd, waarbij lagen in lak gedrenkte stof worden aangebracht op een massief houten mal. Deze techniek was populair tijdens de laatste helft van de Nara-periode (710-749) en verving de holle droge laktechniek 'dakkatsu kanshitsu'. Naarmate de techniek zich verder ontwikkelde, werden meer details toegevoegd aan de houtvorm en werden de lagen stof dunner.
