Note: Color and stereoscopic relief process patented by John Bishop Hall of New York in 1856. Two similar prints were used, one made transparent with dammar varnish, the other painted with washes of color. The transparent print was registered on top of the painted one and the two bound together with a glass and backing.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 1856年由紐約的約翰‧畢夏普‧霍爾(John Bishop Hall)取得專利的彩色立體凸版印相法。運用兩張類似的相片，一張以達馬膠漆(dammar varnish)製成透明影像，另一張則刷染上色。將透明相片套於上色相片之上，然後將兩張相片與玻璃和背襯固定在一起。 |
| Dutch ..... Reliëfproces voor kleuring en stereoscopie, in 1856 gepatenteerd door John Bishop Hall uit New York. Er werden twee vergelijkbare afdrukken gebruikt, waarvan er een transparant werd gemaakt met kunstharsvernis en de andere werd gewassen met gekleurde verf. De transparante afdruk werd boven op de geverfde aangelegd en ze werden samengevoegd met een glas- en een grondplaat. |
