pinochle (card games (activities), games, ... Physical and Mental Activities (hierarchy name))

Note: American card game typically played by three players acting alone or four players in two partnerships. The name means "eyeglasses," and refers to the scoring combination of the queen of spades and the jack of diamonds, because the game originated with a deck of cards in which these characters were depicted in profile, having one eye apiece and therefore two eyes in combination. Pinochle is played with 48 cards, with two cards of each rank and suit with aces high through ten, king, queen, jack, and nine low. Tricks as are taken and a table lists storable card combinations in simplified scoring system.

Additional Notes:
German .....
