Note: Referes to the style of Shinto architecture that developed during the Yayoi period (ca. 300 BCE to ca. 300 CE). The style is characterized by a type of shrine with features suggestive of residential architecture of the Kofun period (ca. 300-710), such as columns set directly into the ground, a gable roof, and floors raised high above the earth and accessible by stairs at the gable end.

| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de stijl van de Shinto-architectuur die zich ontwikkelde tijdens de Yayoi-periode (circa 300 v. Chr. tot circa 300). De stijl kenmerkt zich door een soort tempel die kenmerken vertoonde die in de woningarchitectuur van de Kofun-periode (circa 300 tot 710) worden teruggevonden, zoals de pilaren die direct op de grond werden geplaatst, een geveldak, en vloeren die hoog boven de grond lagen en toegankelijk waren via trappen in de puntgevel. |
